One of the primary goals of Broward County Public Schools is to provide a safe and secure physical and technological environment for all students and employees. Of course this goal also applies to all volunteers and visitors of our school campuses.
The Volunteer Services Department recommends a multifaceted approach to protecting students and volunteers. Guidelines defining the activities of volunteers, requirements for supervision, annual volunteer applications and security background checks are all a part of the District’s commitment to a safe environment.
