Connie F. Wotton began her career in volunteer program administration at her children’s school. After ten years as a volunteer coordinator, special events coordinator, PTA President, and SAC member, she became a District employee in 1992.

First serving in the Youth Mentoring Programs office, Connie became the Community Resource Specialist for the District’s Volunteer Services Department. She is now part of the team that trains and supports an volunteer program of over 240 schools and 45,000 volunteers. Her area of specialty is the Florida Department of Education’s Five Star School Award. 

Connie has served on the Advisory Committee of Broward County’s Senior Volunteer Services and as an officer in the Florida Association of Partners In Education. Broward County Public Schools named Connie as finalist in the 2000 School-Related Employee of the Year for her achievement and contribution to excellence in education.

Connie earned her bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Business Administration. In addition, she is certified in Property & Casualty Underwriting from the Insurance Institute of America and was Assistant Vice President of American Bankers Insurance Company, Miami prior to entering the volunteer administration field.
