FOR INDIVIDUALS

Impact Tomorrow Today!

Research indicates that many students, who are at risk of dropping out of school or making other unwise decisions, benefit from a positive adult role model. It is estimated that 27,000 Broward County students are waiting for a mentor.

By committing only one hour each week at a school conveniently located near your home or workplace, you can be the adult who makes the difference in the life of a child. As the critical listener and gentle guide, you can give valuable advice based on your own life experiences.

It’s easy to get involved and the requirements are simple. You just need to complete a mentor application and security clearance process and attend a two-hour training seminar to begin this generous act of giving. The only requirement is a caring ear, a concern for children, and the ability to listen in a non-judgmental way.
