Youth Mentoring  Coordinators

Summary

teacher with studentWhether recruiting, matching mentors to appropriate students, or guiding the mentor/student relationships, the success of the mentoring program is largely in the hands of our excellent school-based mentor coordinators.

The Youth Mentoring Programs Department encourages our coordinators to actively engage their parents, volunteers, local business, cities and municipalities as well as members of the school community to serve as mentors. We are happy to offer  coordinators targeted  program training and materials that will assist you in making your school mentoring program an excellent service to students.

Parents and/or caregivers interested in having their child matched with a mentor should contact their child’s school to find out if the school has an active mentor program, and complete the necessary paperwork. Unfortunately not all students referred for mentoring can be placed, however the school coordinator or other school-based staff will assist you in exploring alternative support options available for your child.
