About Us: The Broward County Schools Youth Mentoring office ensures that all individuals and programs providing school-based mentoring services adhere to the school district’s policies and procedures. The goal of the Youth Mentoring office is to improve the academic and social outcomes of at-risk students by providing them with committed adults who serve as mentors. The YM office is responsible for recruiting and training mentors, maintaining data, generating correspondence, training and supporting school-based mentor coordinators, monitoring security clearance status and facilitating mentor programs district-wide.
Our Mission: To contribute to the academic achievement and life skills development of at-risk students by providing them with committed adults who serve as mentors.
