In addition
to facilitating community involvement within the school system
and for the district's major events, the department also provides
coordination and/or planning for the school system's participation
in community state or national events.
The
department also facilitates relationships between the community
and education through:
1) A
review of incoming requests via the Superintendent's Screening
Committee.
2) Maintaining
relationships with businesses, government and non-profit organizations
by assisting with local community projects,
3) Facilitating
the district's involvement with parent organizations,
4) Developing
district-wide partnership programs that support the district's
over all strategic goals, and
5) Coordinating
the school district’s
employee recognition programs.
